Scope
This Act establishes competent authorities and tasks of competent authorities for implementation of the Act, body for conformity assessment of EU fertilising products, requirements that EU fertilising products have to meet, placing on the market of EU fertilising products, obligations of economic operators, conditions for carrying out inspection and administrative supervision, and misdemeanour provisions.
Main requirements that the business user needs to know about
An EU fertilising product is a substance, mixture, micro-organism or any other material, applied or intended to be applied on plants or their rhizosphere or on mushrooms or their mycosphere, or intended to constitute the rhizosphere or mycosphere, either on its own or mixed with another material, for the purpose of providing the plants or mushrooms with nutrient or improving their nutrition efficiency, and which is CE marked when made available on the market of the Republic of Croatia.
When placing EU fertilising products on the market, manufacturers have to ensure that the obligations of manufacturers set out in Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 have been met.
Before placing EU fertilising products on the market, manufactures have to carry out the conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 15 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009.
Manufacturers demonstrate the compliance of EU fertilising products with the requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 by drawing up the EU declaration of conformity referred to in Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009.
